Portfolio Mighty Dice Bags
The Mighty Nein dice bags collection
All these dice bags are inspired by the Mighty Nein from Critical Role campaign two. I made one for each member of the party and they are all 100% designed and handmade in real leather by me.
Beauregard Lionett dice bag 👊
This bag is inspired by the absolute power house that is Beauregard, I love this design so much. The bag is painted in 3 colours that represent the Cobalt Soul. Of course there’s the iconic pocket bacon, iconic quotes such as “pop pop” and all the little details about Beau that represent her in all her might and sarcasm, like the fucking Beaurebar.
Caduceus Clay dice bag 🫖
Caduceus is such a calming presence, he’s funny and wise and kind, making this bag has been relaxing and healing for me. I love the color scheme and I’ve challenged myself with some subjects. This bag is the one I made last and completed the Mighty Nein collection.
Caleb Widogast dice bag 🔥
Caleb is such a loved character, I really wanted to do him justice with his bag. So I’ve done something unique and new for it: I added the book holster, with two tiny books in it, just like the one Caleb wears. I think it was such a cool detail to add and I really like the final result. This bag made me emotional and I’m so happy with all the drawings, there were some challenging subjects to paint, but so rewarding. I especially love the cat paw for cat’s ire and the gothic window for the schools of magic.
Essek Thelyss dice bag 💫
Inspired by the Hot Boi himself, this bag is the only d12 of the collection, to represent the Luxon beacon of course. There are stars, geometric designs to give the best dunamantic vibes. A pink parasol, the one Jester made for him, and of course some of his more iconic quotes.
Fjord Stone dice bag 🌊
His bag represents his journey to escape from uk’otoa’s grasp to be freed in the Wildmother’s embrace. There’s some greenery, there’s the sea (some wild and treacherous water and then calm and peaceful waters). The falchion and the Star razor are painted on the front (I painted the falchion in two forms, the classic silver one and the gold one when Fjord “absorbed” the Summer’s dance sword), and for the stitching I used a dark red and brown because they were always present on his armor/clothes.
Jester Lavorre dice bag 🍭
This was the first bag I’ve made from this collection, the bag that practically made itself through my hands and started it all. I had so much fun making it! It’s very pink and of course there are lots of donuts on it, the Uthodurn black moss cupcake, some of her most iconic quotes and a little goth moth eating a curtain, representing one of my favorite moments of the campaign. And some tiny d*cks, obviously. This version of the bag is actually the 2.0, the first one I made had the same decorations but it was stitched with dark green and pink threads, to represent her and the Traveler, but I think the light blue fits better on this bag. To represent Artagan there are various drawings on the faces of the bag.
Mollymauk Tealeaf dice bag 🦚
I felt a bit intimidated by this project at the beginning, because Molly is such a cool character, with so many details and a really specific aesthetic about him, that I really wanted to “get right”. But once I started I was so inspired by him that the bag practically made itself! Maybe the most detailed bag of the collection.
A funny story about making this bag: While I was designing it I got a terrible flu that kept me in bed for a week and as soon as I was feeling good enough I got back to work but I had to pause making this dice bag because the idea of the Mollymauk handbag hit me so hard I had to do that in the middle of this one (that’s how just my chaotic brain works, I don’t know if it’s actually a funny story lol)
Nott the Brave / Veth Brenatto dice bag 🎭
This bag is split in half, one half is green and one half is yellow, symbolizing Veth’s journey from goblin to halfling, coming back to her true self! On the bag are stitched various buttons I collected, to give a more 3d feeling to the decorations, as well as drawings of her most iconic moments, like FLUFFERNUTTER!!! I had so much fun designing and making this bag!
Yasha Nydoorin dice bag ⚡
Inspired by the powerful&awkward barbarian this is the biggest dice bag of the collection, to reflect her power! The bag is painted half in white and half in black (not split in half like Veth’s, but mixed randomly) to symbolize all the struggles she had to overcome to find herself again. The flowers are of course a big part of the design, as well as heartfelt quotes and hilarious ones, that I think perfectly represent Yasha. My favorite subjects to paint were the bone harp and the pancakes 🥞 with bugs of course!
