The NOISY reality and work ethic

NOISY Crafting is a small reality, it’s just me, Isabella, and I handmade all my leather goods. At the NOISY Lab I always strive to work with a conscious mindset, a sustainable production and legal and transparent processes. 

SUSTAINABILITY: 

• Veg Tan: All my items are made with vegetable-tanned Italian leather sourced locally. Vegetable tanning has its origins in Tuscany, is the natural way of treating the leather, no chromium is involved. Tannins can be found in plants and trees, so that the items made with this kind of leather can be biodegradable. And no animal is killed for its skin, all the raw hides used to make leather are salvaged from the meat industry.

• No AI: I absolutely do not use AI in ANY part of my work. I’m against the use of AI for ethical and environmental reasons.

• No over-production and re-usable biodegradable packaging: to always be mindful of our planet I search for the most sustainable option for packaging: Most of the items I make are custom and made to order, to create only useful objects, no mass production of items of any kind. 

TRANSPARENCY: 

• On social media I try to show all the aspects of my work pretty much everyday, because I found it stimulating and I care about trust and educating about the artisanal way of making things, which takes time and effort. 

• NOISY is a one-woman show. I do all the parts of the work right now, I’m a jack of all trades, I might not do everything perfectly, but I care about my work very much. I always focus on the little details and my goal is to offer high quality products that will last a very long time, to be used and loved for decades.
